Sisal plant’s need no fertiliser, they are a robust material which is stripped, handwoven in spirals to a cone shape, by women sharing healing through storytelling.

Naturally dyed with tree bark, different trees make each Kiondo is slightly unique, just as we all are.

Agriculturist and Herbalist’s, Kikuyu gathered in the same spiral around the sacred Mukuyu tree, children danced to Kiondo songs, home interiors were consciously laid out in the Kiondo way.
